Lola means “grandmother” in Tagalog — and everything we cook is measured against the question: would Lola be proud of this plate?
Lola's Eatery opened its doors in Lower Lawrenceville in December 2019, the project of Max and Zoë Blume — two people who believe a brunch table is the best place in the world to introduce cultures to each other.
The menu lives where Filipino and Mexican cooking meet: garlic rice beside warm tortillas, ube beside horchata, adobo beside chile rojo. It isn’t fusion for fusion’s sake — it’s the food of a family table where both traditions get a seat.
And because no grandmother ever let anyone leave hungry, we bake too: fresh bagels every morning, a rotating donut case, and custom cakes for the neighborhood’s birthdays, weddings and Tuesdays that deserve cake.

Recipes with roots, made from scratch, served in portions a grandmother would approve of.
Filipino and Mexican cooking each carry centuries of flavor. We honor both — no shortcuts, no gimmicks.
Lawrenceville gave us our start. Brunch regulars, birthday cakes, office bagel runs — this is a neighborhood spot, full stop.
Brunch is served daily in Lower Lawrenceville — or order ahead and take it to the park.
